In a quaint English town, a young couple, Louise Carter and her fiancé Ben Jackson, are unaware of the efforts of their landlords, Jill and Adrian Blake, to separate them or to corrupt them so as to satisfy their own personal sexual desires.

Adrian succeeds in ending the relationship between Ben and Louise after engineering a series of arguments that cause the couple to separate. Louise secretly harbors a desire to be dominated sexually. Oblivious to how he is being manipulated, Ben loses his love.
